What matters most to me is that the kid feels safe. Having your parents away is scary, and the number one priority for me is to be as friendly and caring as possible to make sure the child feels safe and protected under my care.

I have experience caring for children with ADHD and diabetes. I have not worked with children with special needs such as physical or severe mental disabilities.
The most important part about being a nanny...
When I was a regular babysitter for a three-child family, I would bring different books with me each time to read with the kids. They had a favorite though, that I had to bring each time: The Book With No Pictures. We spent a lot of time laughing about the silly noises and words I had to read!
