More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I volunteer at my local church's daycare whenever I am able to, and have cared for many family friend's children. I also have watched my four siblings many many times, them being 14, 4, 1 1/2 ,and 4 weeks old. I most recently nannied for a family of 4 children ranging from ages 8 to 1.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love doing anything outdoors whether that be going to a park, a pool, or simply going for a picnic. I also love to read and do various sorts of crafts. I do not necessarily like putting kiddos in front of screens all day, and so I generally try to have as much fun as I can without the use of electronics. Playing make-believe is most definitely my forte, and I tend to get whisked away into the storyline and fully immerse myself so that the children have more than just a nanny, but a friend to play with as well.
The most important part about being a nanny...
For me nannying is that of a passion. It provides kids with the opportunity to meet someone who they may grow to become very close with, and gives parents a break when needed.
My experience with special needs children...
I have an autistic cousin who is a few months younger than me, however he doesn't need watching so I can't say that I have particularly worked with special need children.
