Hello! My name is Lauren, I am 19 years old. I graduated from Thomas Jefferson as class of 2020. I attended Kirkwood for a year for psychology and early childhood education. I’ve been the go to babysitter for man people since I was 13. I love children and they seem to love me. I was CPR and First Aid certified but have not renewed it as I have been graduated for two years now. I have never been a nanny but would love to be one. Not the best at describing myself online. But I promise that I have amazing conversation skills in person or over the phone.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

My mother owned a daycare when I was growing up and I took on many of those responsibilities. I guess you could say I’ve been taking care of children my entire life as I have 3 siblings, I being the oldest.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I am a huge art and crafts kind of gal. I grew up around my grandmother and loved trying out a wide variety of activities such as sewing, painting, tie-dye, perler beads, making bracelets, learning how to cook authentic dishes from Norway, and my favorite baking.

The most important part about being a nanny...

What matters the most to me about childcare is making sure to build a bond with the child. As well as keeping their safety and feelings in mind.

My experience with special needs children...

Not exactly sure if it counts but I volunteered for the prairie summer program with the special needs students two years. And during highschool I also was involved in the helping of PE and assisting with activities at Thomas Jefferson highschool. My baby sister is diagnosed with high-functioning autism. I’ve learned how to work with her, and give her the support she needs. She refers to me as her bestfriend, and anytime there is an issue I am the one to be called to help.
