More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I spent time (around 7 months) as a volunteer para-professional in an Early Childhood Special Education classroom that was also a Pre-K classroom! I worked with kids as young as 2 and as old as 6 doing activities such as art projects, sensory exposure as well as independent play!

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love being outside, especially in the summer so taking the kids to the pool as well as the park are always a favorite of mine! I love to play alongside the kids as well as engage with the kids to help increase their confidence playing independently! I am also a huge fan of sensory bins, so on the colder days I love to help create sensory bins and create an engaging experience for everyone!

The most important part about being a nanny...

What matters most to me is that the child’s needs are met first. Considering all of the options and using the tools and guidelines the parents provide, my first priority is making sure the child’s needs are met as well as the parents expectations for me.

The most important part about being a nanny...

My most memorable moment was this past fall spending time with my 3 year old client and practicing his sign language. His mom introduced it as a form of communication when he was speaking and continues to use it. I am not fluent in ASL, however, brush up on it and have started learning more signs to use and teach to this sweet boy!
