More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I nannied for three summers for two young girls, ages 18 months and three years.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love to swim, sing, go on walks, paint, draw, and read.
The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part about being a nanny is following the child's lead. Children are curious and often will guide you with what they are interested in. I have found that when children are young, their interests change so quickly that it is best to follow their lead rather than trying to control every minute spent together. Though routines are incredibly important, so is understanding that flexibility fosters a child’s sense of independence and creativity.
My experience with special needs children...
I have a special needs cousin (physical and mental disabilities) who I have some experience taking care of as well as experience working with children with Down Syndrome.
The most important part about being a nanny...
My favorite nanny moment was when the toddler I nannied started speaking in full sentences with me after months of one word responses.

Part-Time Child Care Provider Available in Washington, DC: Qadira E.
Hello my name is Qadira I have been taking care of children for 20 plus years specifically babies the last 10 years as a pediatric medical assistant and as a part time infant night nurse many parents tried to steal me from pediatric office I worked in the last 6 years. Many parents can attest to my care and compassion for children as well as my knowledge about them and their development. I look forward to speaking with you to tell you a little more about myself and why I would be a good candidate.
