A little bit about me

Hi families, my name is Laurilyn, often called "Auntie Lali". I am an Auntie to four wonderful kiddos ages 3 to 13 in California, and I have a decade of experience with a variety of age groups. I also completed my Bachelors in Human Development from the University of California, Davis. I've studied the biological, cognitive, and social aspects of development of all ages - and I love them all!
I am also a certified Nutritional Therapy Practitioner; I have up to date CEU's and consult with roughly five clients per month. I am happy to incorporate nutrition in my nanny services and provide nourishing food for children to thrive.
My long-term goal is to be a Psychiatrist that incorporates nutrition in a healing protocol, for all ages.

I am currently a private nanny. I have worked for two families so far.
I have been a substitute teacher for two school districts in California.
I have worked with kids in health gyms/fitness clubs and done many recreational activities and leadership roles in outdoor education.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

singing/music and dancing!
going outside - walking, or at the park
a bit of food prep if age appropriate and cooking
sensory play - exploring touch, sound, taste, smell, etc

The most important part about being a nanny...

Helping the young life/lives I am taking care of to develop a healthy attachment with myself, their environment and especially their parents and developing their own identity and healthy autonomy.
