More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have experience with younger children that because one of my family members owns their own at home daycare so I would help take care of the kids and I also have helped out in another daycare that a family member worked at! I was mostly around babies, toddlers, and older more independent kids. I currently work with kids in a ABA center who have developmental delays and autism. I also have siblings who I’ve also taken care of since I was 7 years old.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Whenever I'm taking care of kids, I love involving them in everything, even the smallest tasks. I enjoy taking them outside to run around, explore, and be adventurous. I also love doing creative and fun activities that help them learn and have a great time, all while ensuring a safe and friendly environment.

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important part of being a nanny is being a good role model and helping children learn and grow to be successful in whatever they do. It's also about teaching them that they are important and valuable in this world, and can do whatever they put their mind to.

My experience with special needs children...

I was a Behavioral Therapist, and worked with kids who have autism as well as developmental delays. My job was to help them have a better overall quality of life by teaching them how to do things independently such as daily living activities and communication skills.

The most important part about being a nanny...

One of the many memorable moments as a nanny was teaching a 2-year-old how to communicate using sign language. I’ll never forget the first time they independently signed “all done” after finishing their meal, it absolutely warmed my heart. I pour my heart and effort into every child I work with, and seeing a child who once struggled to communicate begin to express themselves on their own is such a powerful, beautiful moment for me. While some may see it as a small milestone, to me it’s so much bigger, it’s life-changing for that child, and I’m honored to witness and be part of it. This field isn’t without its challenges; children are little humans learning to navigate the world just like the rest of us. But knowing I’ve helped them gain important skills that will benefit them for years to come makes every single moment worth it.
