A little bit about me

Hi! My name is Leah, and I’m 17 years old and will be a senior at Batavia High School next year. I’m currently looking for a part-time babysitting position for the summer. While I do have some scheduling conflicts due to soccer and a few pre-planned events, I’m excited to spend my summer helping families and caring for children. I would describe myself as organized, empathetic, and responsible, while also bringing a positive attitude and fun energy that helps me connect naturally with kids.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have over four years of babysitting experience caring for children of different ages, and I truly enjoy building connections with the families I work with. Last summer, I also worked as a lifeguard at Sunset Pool through the Geneva Park District, where I spent my days supervising, assisting, and interacting with children in a fast-paced environment. That experience strengthened my responsibility, attentiveness, and ability to stay calm in important situations. I am also CPR and First Aid certified.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I enjoy doing just about any activity that helps kids have fun and feel engaged! Whether that’s arts and crafts, outdoor play, board games, reading, imaginative play, baking, sports, or helping with homework, I’m happy to adapt to what your child enjoys most. I love creating positive, fun environment where kids can feel comfortable.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I believe the most important part of being a nanny or babysitter is creating a safe, trusting, and fun environment for both the children and their parents. Being dependable, building strong relationships, and helping children feel comfortable and cared for are all priorities for me. I want parents to feel confident that their children are in good hands, while making sure the kids genuinely enjoy the time we spend together.

My experience with special needs children...

While I don’t have extensive formal experience working with children with special needs, I have had some personal experience through family friends and relatives. I’m patient, empathetic, and always willing to learn how to best support each child’s individual needs.

The most important part about being a nanny...

One of my favorite parts of babysitting is the moment you really connect with a child and can share genuine, uncontrollable laughter together. Those moments make the job so rewarding. One especially memorable moment was taking a little girl I babysat—and my guinea pigs—on a walk together in a wagon. It was simple, random, and so much fun, and it perfectly captures the joy that can come from spending time with kids.

Sarah M. - Seeking Work in Batavia

Part-Time Nanny Available in Batavia, IL: Sarah M.

Hi there! I’m Sarah, a caring, creative, and safety-certified nanny who absolutely loves working with kids. While I may not have years of formal nanny experience, I do bring plenty of hands-on time working with children in both structured and playful environments. I’ve volunteered as a support worker in 1st, 3rd, and 4th grade classrooms at HC Storm Elementary here in Illinois, and I also tutored elementary students in math back when I was in college in Michigan.

Kids seem to naturally warm up to me—I think it’s because I genuinely enjoy their stories, their energy, and the chance to help them grow. Whether it’s helping with homework, organizing fun activities, or just being a steady, calming presence, I always show up with heart (and a bag of snacks if needed 🍎).

I’m also CPR and First Aid certified, so your child’s safety is always my top priority. I’m punctual, responsible, and flexible—someone you can count on when life gets a little hectic.
