A little bit about me

Hi! My name is Leila, and I am 22 years old with over five years of hands-on experience in babysitting, nannying, and professional childcare. I have worked in multiple childcare centers and daycare facilities, gaining extensive experience with infants, toddlers, and children of all ages. I am very knowledgeable in infant care, including feeding routines, sleep schedules, developmental milestones, and safe play.

I have also worked in structured daycare environments, where I supported classroom activities, maintained a safe and nurturing environment, and helped children grow socially, emotionally, and academically.
I am passionate about childcare and truly love helping children learn, grow, and feel supported. I am organized, calm under pressure, and always prioritize safety, communication, and consistency. I strive to create a fun, structured, and loving environment where children can thrive.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have gained valuable hands-on experience caring for children through my work at several childcare centers, including Cambridge, Preschool of the Arts, and the Fidelity Center. In these structured daycare and preschool environments, I worked closely with infants, toddlers, and young children, supporting daily routines such as feeding, diapering, nap schedules, and transitions.

Through these roles, I learned how to manage classrooms, follow state childcare guidelines, and create engaging, age-appropriate activities that promote early learning, social development, and emotional growth. I developed strong skills in behavior guidance, positive reinforcement, and maintaining a safe, nurturing environment for children with different personalities and needs.

In addition to center-based care, I also have experience with in-home babysitting and nannying, where I provided individualized attention, assisted with light housekeeping, meal preparation, and daily routines.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I enjoy a wide variety of activities with children that encourage creativity, learning, and movement. I love spending time outdoors going to the park, riding bikes and scooters, and exploring nature. Indoors, I enjoy doing puzzles, building with Legos, arts and crafts, and hands-on activities that support problem-solving and imagination. I also enjoy incorporating fun treats like baking or an occasional ice cream outing when appropriate. I always aim to make activities both enjoyable and age-appropriate while supporting each child’s development and interests.

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important part about being a nanny is the opportunity to positively shape a child’s life during their most important developmental years. Building a safe, loving, and trusting relationship allows children to feel confident, supported, and free to be themselves. I believe being a nanny means more than supervision—it means being a consistent role model, a source of comfort, and someone who helps create happy memories that children carry with them as they grow.

Every interaction matters, whether it’s encouraging curiosity, teaching kindness, or simply being present when a child needs reassurance. Knowing I can contribute to a child’s emotional well-being, growth, and sense of security is what makes this role so meaningful to me.

My experience with special needs children...

I have lightly worked with special needs children in the Fidelity Center!

The most important part about being a nanny...

My favorite nanny moment was with a toddler I cared for regularly who was having a really hard day when I arrived. We spent some quiet time reading books and talking about feelings, and I watched their mood completely shift as they began to feel safe and understood. Later, we turned the afternoon into a fun learning moment by baking muffins together—counting ingredients, mixing, and celebrating when they came out of the oven. By the end of the day, they were so proud of themselves and couldn’t wait to show their parents what we had made. Moments like that remind me how meaningful it is to help children feel supported, confident, and happy.
