The most important part about being a nanny...
I believe a nanny should be positive because kids tend to copy what they see. I think it's important to show them the positive side of things and be attentive to what they like and what they don't. Building a genuine connection with children is important for them to feel safe and seen.
My experience with special needs children...
I don’t have professional experience caring for children with special needs, but I have had opportunities to interact with and learn alongside children with special needs through school. I always enjoyed sitting with them, talking with them, and getting to know them because I found them to be very kind, sweet, and happy. I also have personal caregiving experience within my family, which has taught me a lot patience, understanding, and providing consistent support. While I am still learning, I am genuinely willing to learn, follow parents’ instructions, and provide a safe, patient, and caring environment for every child.
The most important part about being a nanny...
I helped my sister care for a little boy in Santa Monica. I remember taking him to the park, bringing him to my graduation, and taking him along with us to different places. He was such a silly and fun little boy, and I genuinely loved spending time with him. He especially loved when I made funny faces and acted sily. Those experiences taught me that children often connect through playfulness and giving them your full attention. I really enjoyed making him laugh and creating memories with him.
