The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important thing about being a nanny is creating a safe, loving space where kids feel truly seen and valued. It matters to me because every child whether they're mastering a new skill, navigating big emotions, or just needing steady support, deserves to know they're capable and cherished. My own childhood taught me how transformative that kind of care can be, and now I get to pay it forward every day.
My experience with special needs children...
I have direct experience caring for children with Down syndrome, as well as students with IEP and 504 plans (including learning disabilities, ADHD, and emotional/behavioral needs). My approach focuses on patience, adaptability, and celebrating each child’s unique strengths. Whether that’s through modified academic support, confidence-building in sports, or personalized social-emotional strategies.
The most important part about being a nanny...
One of my favorite nanny moments was helping a shy child with Down syndrome score their her basketball basket. After weeks of practicing together, her proud smile and newfound confidence was priceless. It reminded me why I love working with kids!
