Art/drawing, outdoor sports (I played college soccer and ran track), reading, puzzles, hiking/nature walks. I am very active and usually never inside of my own house.
The most important part about being a nanny...
I am in awe of how self-aware kids can be. I think it's such a blessing to not only teach kids, or be an example for them, but to also learn from them. Kids are so innocent and capable and I pride myself on preserving and presenting that part of myself when I'm with them and because of them.
My experience with special needs children...
I do not have any but I am patient, versatile, and ready/willing to learn.
The most important part about being a nanny...
I went snowboarding with one of my kids and his family and he got on the wrong lift (to a black diamond, which is the steepest, fastest slope at a resort) he wasn't very skilled at the sport yet so I had to sprint after him, follow him up, and snowboard with him piggybacked all of the way down. It was terrifying honestly but we had so much fun laughing and trying not to fall and he ended up wanted to ride on my back the rest of the time.
