In high school, I babysat for a family that had a 5 year old and 7 year old. We played games until their parents got home among other things. I have also cared for children in dance classes and I loved every minute of it. In college, I did an internship at the University of Missouri hospital in the play room with children that needed to get out of their rooms.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I enjoy taking children to the pool and to the park. I also love going on walks and just time outside in general. In todays day, lots of children like to be on screens and I just really enjoy getting them outside and getting some fresh air.
The most important part about being a nanny...
To me, the most important part about being a nanny is the relationship that is built between me and the family. I think it is crucial to have a family that is trusting of you and that can really rely on you with their pride and joy. I want families to know that I am able to make their children comfortable with me and that they will be in great hands with me!
My experience with special needs children...
When I was working in the hospital, I had a child with special needs and it was hard to say the very least. This taught me lots of patience but other than that, I have not worked with many children with special needs.
The most important part about being a nanny...
My favorite moment as a babysitter/nanny was when I took the two girls I babysat for to the pool almost everyday. We all had the most fun there and got some good laughs in spraying each other with water.
