A little bit about me

My name is Lidia Kais. I was born and raised in Ukraine, but 6 years ago I moved to the United States with my whole family. I have 7 siblings, 5 brothers and 2 sisters. In my free time I like to play volleyball, run, read books and I enjoy spending time with my younger siblings. For the past two years I was taking prerequisite classes at American River College. Originally my major was a Pediatric nurse. About 2 years ago I started to teach preschool kids in Sunday school and I found myself really enjoying doing it. Usually I have about 10-15 kids every Sunday. This is a critical age when it comes to developing a love of learning. I want to instill that feeling of excitement and challenge them to explore their environment. To me, children are like a fountain of joy. I can never get enough of their lovely innocent personalities and truthfulness. They are so vulnerable, yet so brave. As a future preschool teacher, I believe it's my duty to bring out every child's full potential.
