Hi, I'm Lila! I love taking care of young kids and have lots of experience creating fun activities! I am a psychology and neuroscience graduate of Smith College, and I am currently also working as an ABA tech in the mornings. I am looking for a part-time nanny position. More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

Most recently I have been working with autistic children in centers and home settings. Prior to this, I nannied full-time for a 3-year-old and an 8-year-old. I spent a summer working at a preschool teaching a science class for 4 and 5-year-old children. I volunteered in 2016 and 2017 at a women's and children's shelter; I was a counselor for kids aged 5-13 at a summer camp run within the shelter. I have also worked as an art teacher at a summer camp for kids from age 6-13.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love imagination play with children! I love getting kids to access the creative side of play with their toys. After working at a preschool teaching a science class, I have a collection of experiments I have done before with kids; stuff like coke and mentos volcanoes and learning the importance of hand-washing, germs, and COVID. I also love arts and crafts and have been an art teacher at a summer camp! I would love to paint with kids, make bracelets, paper-mache, and more! I also always love playing board games, tag, hide and seek or other games.

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important part of being a nanny is having a love for children and being able to have fun with them! I also am great at being able to understand and communicate with kids. Being responsible and reliable, having practical common sense, and problem solving skills are all essential.

My experience with special needs children...

I have spent a year getting trained in ABA with the Attain company. I have worked in a center setting with young children and I have worked in a home setting with special needs children. I am a very calm person and read children intentionally and carefully; I feel comfortable working with special needs children.
