Activities I enjoy doing with children...
As a teacher, reading, outdoor exploration, writing, coloring, and other cognitive, creative, and intellectual building activities have a special place in my heart.
The most important part about being a nanny...
Supporting parents!
The role of caregiving is a nuanced and complex one. Each child prefers their parents/guardians and each parent would like to be able to meet their child’s every need, every moment.
However, parents/guardians have needs too, and we adults must work in order to eat. This is where caregivers come in. We fill a nuanced and precious space alongside parents/guardians and their children.
It is my priority to make parents feel the sting of being away from their child that much less by making them feel trusted, seen, respected, partnered with, and supported.
A child is not the only need you are helping to meet as a caregiver. We must be supporters of the parents/guardians in order to fulfill our purpose ethically and effectively.

All my students and my charges have a special place in my heart!
I do remember the satisfaction of getting a particularly stubborn, developmentally behind charge to sit-up, roll over, and quad-crawl after being behind and reluctant toward all skills for months. I got his first time crawling on video and honestly, I cried. Incredibly proud of him! It was a long push of PT/OT support to get him to that point.
Besides that, times where charges spoke for the first time, remembered me when I came back for a short care visit, and remembered a favorite song I sang after they moved on from my class or care are partiality precious to me.
My ultimate care guilty pleasure are contact naps or naps while baby wearing. There is nothing more humbling and honoring than a little life feeling safe enough to drift off in your arms, particularly when you are only filling in for mom, dad, grandma, etc.!

Part-Time Child Care Provider Available in Granbury, TX: Faith P.
I have experience in early childhood education for 5+ years! I love working with children! I also have a child of my own, she is 3 years old. I’m currently a stay at home mom just looking for some extra income, and for some social interaction for my girl. I would prefer to watch in my own home since I do have a child. We live in a gated community that has a pool, I have a huge backyard with a bounce house, swing, and tons of room to play. We also like to take walks and weekly park trips/picnics. I am first aid and cpr certified, and would love to help out any families in need!:)
