Hi my name is Lillie! I have always loved working with kids I have a ton of experience with kids from working at camps, nannying, 4H. I am fully CPR certified also in First Aid, I have a car fully insured and would love the opportunity to be a ultimate care taker for your family. If their were three words to describe myself it would be patient, responsible, empathetic. I love being outside hiking or going to the beach! I also love to cook, planning, escape rooms, coloring. I worked in early childhood education for a year, then School Age for a year and a half.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

When. I worked as a early childhood educator for a year and I was used to nannying so 1-3 kids usually so adjusting my perspective to larger groups like 10 to 20! Going into a classroom every morning and greeting the kids learning names, letting the kids personality’s just flourish. Listening and helping out using sight and sound everyday, scaffolding methods, understanding kids have big feelings too and we are there to guide them. I would always get very frustrated or upset if I saw a teacher who was frustrated with a child or their behavior and lash out at the child. I always tried to build a bond with my students that just needed a bit more stability, comfort, and needing a safety net.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Indoor: toys, coloring, pretend games, reading, kids love being helpful and learn fine motor skills when helping with certain chores like sweeping or putting spoons away, teaching littles ASL. Outdoor: games, running around, playground if available or close by, I love taking kids on walks good for kids to get 30 mins being outside twice a day, with parents permission if I’m allowed to transport kids in my vehicle, then we could go so small outings and socialization.

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important thing about being a nanny is that you are fluent in multi tasking! When there are kids involved it is the upmost importance that your are just as hands on as they are you have to be faster and think ahead about situations, planning activities, meal times, nap times, it’s going to save your live to plan a routine. Being aware of your surroundings as a caretaker it’s my responsibility to ensure your child is safe! And that you and your family have trust.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I had the best conversations with this five year old student in kinder prep she was very silly full of knowledge! The class had to print a picture or bring a book talking about favorite animal. Every other student did dog, cat, rabbit etc but she chose the Buzzard! I was so impressed during what they called “show and share” you can choose three questions from classmates, and she wanted the teachers to ask questions this time. Seeing her light up when three grown ups are very interested in what she has to say, kids thrive when they are validated they become more confident in themselves!
