Hello! My name is Lilly. I am a young professional working full-time in a busy specialty medicine clinic. I am passionate about my work and would not choose to go anywhere else, but, unfortunately, it seems even a good, full-time position isn't always quite enough to be sustained on. I am looking for some occasional babysitting work during my off-hours. As another working adult, I understand how busy life can be! It feels like there are never enough opportunities to find time for yourself on top of it all. I would love to provide some support for any parents/families looking for a little help! Date night? Girl's day? Going insane and just need a few hours alone? I'm there! I am CPR certified, for both adults and children. I would be more than happy to do some light housework and meal preparation, if needed. I have plenty of experience with childcare and would love to provide any additional details you need!

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have over a decade of experience with various kinds of childcare duties. I am the oldest of four, with my youngest sister being 13 years younger. I volunteered as a "Big Sister" for Big Brothers Big Sisters throughout high school. Moreover, during the same time period I consistently worked with several families providing both consistent and, at times, last-minute childcare services. I have most experience with children ages 2-10. I have experience with toddlers who have not been potty-trained and I am not afraid to tackle a dirty diaper or two! My duties primarily consisted of dinner prep, light household tidying and bedtime routines. I do my best to promote constructive conversations and development of stronger problem-solving skills when issues arise (especially amongst siblings).

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I like to encourage creative play over screen-time. That being said, an occasional themed movie-night is one of my favorite fabulously fun activities!
I will never say no to an arts and crafts session and you can count me in for story time and book reading! I grew up in an environment that fostered creativity and artistic ventures. This is something I continue to hold very close to me and my values.

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important part of caring for children is fostering a safe and supportive environment, ensuring the child always feels comfortable and heard. Children often have to fight to feel heard over so many loud, grown-up voices. I do my best to practice active listening and responding when children advocate for themselves.
