Protection, Responsibility, and Safety. Creating a safe but fun learning environment is crucial but so is protecting children from the unprecedented. Taking care of a child is a big responsibility! It is important to be alert when going outdoors and even at home. I have a CPR certification and as a nursing student I am always learning about health and wellness to better understand and assist.
My experience with special needs children...
My brother who is 2 years younger than me is diagnosed with Asperger syndrome which is a condition on the autism spectrum but generally higher functioning.
My brother can be a socially awkward at times. People with AD have an all-absorbing interest in specific topics and for my brother that is drawing and Nintendo characters. He is very passionate and talented in what he does. Although he is often misunderstood by others, as little girl I have learned to communicate with him through music, interests of his, and paying attention to how he grasp concepts of world to then teach him in his own unique way.

I love going on little simple adventures like a food run or grocery store run. When I was taking care of Max and Santi we would always crack jokes in the car about what we would spot out or even do little dances while in the isle of the grocery store.
