Hi! I'm Lina Amaya, originally from Colombia and now living in the U.S. for the past four years. I moved here to pursue my master’s in International Business, which I earned in 2024.

During my time here, I’ve lived with and assisted three wonderful families, supporting them in all areas of daily life, including childcare, housework, organizing schedules, and elderly care. One family had two amazing kids, ages 9 and 11, whom I helped care for.

Caring for others has always been a big part of my life—I was a primary caregiver for my younger brother since he was an infant, which helped shape my love for working with children. I’m attentive, hardworking, and always ensure a smooth-running home.

I’ve also had dogs my whole life and love animals! I’m great with all pets and happy to help with their care.

The most important part about being a nanny...

One of my favorite nanny moments was transforming a completely unusable basement into a fun play space—all by myself. It was packed with clutter, so I sorted, organized, and helped the family decide what to donate or toss. When the kids first saw the finished space, their faces lit up—they were so excited to finally have a place of their own. They immediately planned a sleepover, thanked me, and gave me the biggest hug. It was such a heartwarming moment!
