I've been in foster care. I had three children for two and a half years, and happily adopted them. They are now three beautiful teenagers, and one of them is going to college this fall. I volunteer at my church, teaching and caring for the children in my congregation.

I like to teach them another language, motivate their imagination, I like to take them to the park, museums, bookstores, teach them to swim, etc.

I was only once a nanny to a 17-year-old boy, but he had the mentality of a 2-year-old. It was a very nice experience, but also sad when his mother decided to send him to a care home far from her, just because he turned 18 years I think that broke my heart.
