I am a graduate student at IUPUI working towards my Masters of Social Work. I am passionate about my calling to help others and caring for individuals and families. I have experience working with children of all ages in my last job position working for a foster care agency. I enjoy working with children of all ages and making an impact in their lives in any way. I am artistic and would love to incorporate arts and crafts! I also enjoy cooking and baking and would love to help out with that as well as any cleaning needed!

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have experience providing care for children aged 0-16 years old for the past 10+ years! All the way back from grade school, I would attend my own babysitter’s and would love helping out with the kids even at a young age. I continued to babysit for relatives and others in the community throughout my middle and high school years. Currently, I at times babysit my cousin’s 6 month old baby as well :-) My last job position was working at a foster care agency, so I am experienced working with all ages, cultures, genders, and needs (whether developmental delay, mental health illnesses, trauma, etc.)

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

My second major in my undergraduate program was Studio Arts and Technology. I love creating art and sharing that passion with others! I would love to introduce arts and crafts when caring for kiddos! I also love to cook and bake (I am starting a new hobby of making homemade sourdough breads) and would be happy to provide any help in that area as well. I enjoy cleaning and tidying up, running errands, and doing what ever else you may need. Lastly, I love nature and being outdoors and would love to take kiddos to any parks, walks, bike rides, etc. if the family would be comfortable with that! :-)

My experience with special needs children...

I have experience within my major with early childhood education, including knowledge of developmental delays, mental health illnesses, trauma, etc. I have 2+ years experience working with individuals who are on the Autism Spectrum Disorder as well!
