Part time nanny for 2 months. I started this job in March of 2020 and I loved it so much! This job ended when everything shut down due to covid. The mother of the child I watched became a stay at home mom. My job requirements were to follow the child's meal schedule, play with her, put food away and light cleaning.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
My favorite thing to do with children is to read to them. My favorite thing to do with my own son is to play outside together. He loves out doors and we spend time in our fenced in back yard.
My experience with special needs children...
My son has level 2 autism. He was diagnosed 2 years ago and ever since I have done everything I could to help him and learn techniques to help him from his ocupational therapist and his speech therapist. I've learned how to read him and his sensory needs as well as techniques which sometimes can help calm him in a sensory melt down.
I'm also on the committee for my local non profit organization for autism.
