Hey! My name is Lindsey and have been married to my wonderful husband for 3 years. I am the oldest of 3 and have adored infants and children since I can remember. I love all things birth and motherhood, and am a certified birth doula (I attended my 2nd birth recently, and can't wait to go to another!). Over the past 2. 5 years, I've had the privilege of working with babies with NAS at Maddie's Place in Spokane, and have thoroughly enjoyed caring for them through feeding challenges, consoling, baby wearing, and learning other techniques to help with regulation, development and attachment. I get excited about holistic health, and have enjoyed slowly incorporating all things natural into my lifestyle. I would describe myself as nurturing, patient, compassionate, a hard worker who can take initiative, and one with a good sense of humor. I would love to be apart of and grow with your family!

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

For 2.5 years, I have worked at Maddie’s Place in Spokane, caring for newborns exposed to substances in utero. These babies struggle with dysregulation, withdrawals, irritability, and miscueing. I learned many relevant skills to care for newborns, as well as specific skills to manage feeding difficulties, promote attachment, encourage development, and train others how to best care for these babies. My primary responsibility was the head trainer of the Infant Care Specialists, and I worked to develop their skills, as well as their ability to read the babies needs and respond well to them.

Working with babies exposed to substances—infants with sensory issues, feeding difficulties, NG tubes, G-tubes, completing PT/OT exercises prescribed.

My favorite moment with an infant has been when baby has been upset, and together we co-regulate and connect. It’s so rewarding when a baby is able to match your calm, and respond to you.
