Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
My own children are 21 and 9. My oldest is a climber for cell towers and my youngest is hoping to follow in his footsteps. I have so sat for for nieces and nephews, but with the past two years I have been caring for my father, who had just recently passed. So, honestly, other than my boys, my experience has not been too recent. I will say however I am a firm believer in God and feel that children need to be guided by a good example, whether it be brother, sister, aunt or uncle....perhaps nanny...who knows, but it is an imperative part of raising a child up in the way for which they should go.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Fixing things, figuring out how they work. This help in problem solving later on. Scavenger hunts teach them patients and how to focus on task at hand. I love teaching children to help around they house even if I do need Togo back over it...I'll never tell them anything but "great job" or "perfect" . I just love seeing a child try with the best foot forwars.
My experience with special needs children...
Growing up my mother was the Sunday school teacher for the educationally challenged, so my siblings and I had a great opportunity growing up with many of my mothers students. Also, I have been blessed with a nephew that is handicap, he was born with hydrocephalus and to this day is 15 and a wonderful young man.
