"We have had the pleasure of having Lisa work with both our kids. Our youngest kid was about a year behind in speech when Lisa first started working with her. In just a few months, my daugter has come so far and is nearly speaking at an age appropriate level. With our oldest daughter, Lisa has given her so much confidence in reading that in just 2 weeks has made huge leaps in school. I love seeing the confidence in both of my kids and I am so grateful for Lisa. My kids adore her and are always happy when she comes over. Highly recommend."

More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I have worked in Child care for 25 plus years. I have been a nanny, working in an infant toddler center, as a preschool teacher and owned my own in home day care. Most recently I was a Speech Language Pathology Assistant for the last 8 years. I have watched kids of all ages and all abilities. Most of my clientele through speech were children with autism or down syndrome so I have lots of experience caring children with all ability levels.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Art, cooking, going to the park or indoor play places like the museum, or taking the kids to the library or zoo. I love teaching so I like to incorporate that into what ever we are doing. I like to be silly and goofy a lot. I love to see kids laugh.
The most important part about being a nanny...
My favorite activities with toddlers?
I love to do things that are engaging, fun and educational like sensory bins for feeling different things, story time for literacy, blocks for fine motor skills and cause and effect, playground for large motor skills.
My favorite children's book/ music etc?
I love the Wide Mouth Frog and The Monster at the End of this book because I can do silly voices with it and it is repetitive and the kids really get into it. I also love the Going on a Bear Hunt.
I love all the classics twinkle twinkle, ABC's etc and lots of ones that have motions.
How long are you looking for employment for?
As long as things are going smooth on my end and your end I don't have an end date in mind.
What are your thoughts on discipline?
It is not what my thought are because I am hired to parent your child the way you would if he or she were with you. If a parent doesn't have a specific way then I like to try redirection or time out, if needed.

My experience with special needs children...
I recently cared for a 5 year old with Autism and care for a little 3 year old with speech delays. When working in speech I have worked with all sorts of different kids with special needs.
The most important part about being a nanny...
I love it when parents text me after hours to tell me that their child went potty on the toilet when we are working on potty training or he or she read a book at school and earned an award when we have been working on reading etc. I love to see how happy the kids are when they realized the hard work paid off and are so proud of themselves.

Hello, I'm Jules! I am currently a nursing student at BSU with the goal of becoming a midwife. I am up to date on all vaccines as my nursing program requires it. I have been babysitting since middle school so I have a lot of experience with babysitting and kids! I am CPR certified and have a bunch of nursing knowledge when it comes to scraps, bumps, bruises, or any other injury a rambunctious child may get! I love kids and I love getting to be creative so coming up with fun games and crafts is easy. I also love to cook and I think getting kids involved in cooking is a great idea as it teaches them how to be independent as well as learn to love food and nutrition. I also love getting outside whether that is bike riding, hiking, or playing sports. Some skills that I have pride in is that I am punctual, reliable, caring, and creative! Lastly, I am a non-smoker, have my own car, and actually enjoy cleaning!
