"Lisa was immediately a part of our family, she cared for our 3 kids as if they were her own. She was very communicative and reliable. Lisa went above and beyond in her duties, she actually earned my trust so much that she became my unofficial assistant at work at within the house managing remodeling projects, expense reports, cooking, light cleaning, family laundry, booking appointments for doctors and kids activities, etc. She kept our house running and as a C suite executive who travels, knowing she was the 3rd team member in our parental team made our life so smooth, especially for our kids. She remains an extension of our family and highly involved in our kids lives to this day. She’s a unicorn."

More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
In a school setting during college for my teaching degree. I also worked with children in a Montessori setting with small groups of children in a church.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Reading, Educational Games, Arts & Crafts, Outdoor adventures, Museums, Playground, Nature Centers, Imaginative play.
I love watching children from the beginning of infancy and seeing the light in their eyes every time they 'get something' or achieve a milestone. It warms my heart when babies say their first words, first learn to crawl and their first steps to mom or dad. I love seeing children through their formative years where they learn from the many craft projects I introduce as well as when they come home with their first preschool report that emphasizes how advanced your children are.

The most important part about being a nanny...
To me, what is most important is the safety, happiness and love the child feels when they are with you. The calm feeling a parent feels knowing their child is in the best hands and the gratification I get to have each and every day when I leave that child knowing every day I help them grow into the amazing people they will one day be. To me, being a nanny isn't a job, its a passion, one that I hold close to my heart and have for as long as I can remember. I could have been a teacher or a therapist, but the gratification i get from being part of one childs life at a time is so much closer to my heart.
My experience with special needs children...
I worked with a set of premature twins born at 27 weeks. They were 1 lb 11 oz and 2 lb 2 oz. They both needed medication upon arrival at home and needed numerous physical, occupational and speech therapies weekly. I worked with these babies until they were 5 years old and am still in touch with them weekly as they conquer their 2nd year of collegw.
I've also worked with a child with down syndrome who had issues with her muscles and feeding. I began with her as a three month old and worked closely with her through physical, occupational and speech therapies as well. She also was on numerous medications and needed close monitoring at all times.

The most important part about being a nanny...
How can you pick just one.. The first time a child recognizes me and her eyes light up, that first smile, every morning when I walk in the door and am greeted by their warm smiles, dirty little hands and eager faces, the first time they crawl and the look on their faces when they realize they are no longer in the same spot. The first time they speak, or the first time they sound out the words all by them selves in their very first good night story. The A's brought home after a week of tricky studying, the look of wonder at the butterflies that fly over their heads. There are so many moments I treasure with each of my children. Maybe my very favorite that still chokes me up to this day.. The day my 2 lb 2 oz twin (who had a stroke at birth and her parents were told she would never walk) walked to her dad because I would not take no for an answer. To this day she credits all she has become and will become to my instilling " there is NOTHING you can't do if you try" in her mentality.
