"Lisa was organized with day to day duties when caring for my baby boys ages 6 months and 2 years old. She set a routine of meals, bottles, nap time, tummy time, reading, and bedtimes that she followed to a "T". The boys responded to her immediately, they loved her and so did i. She was exceptional when it came to ensuring the saftey of my boys . I would highly recommend her for caring for your children from infant to school age. She was always positive and had a "happy to be there" attitude. We paid her $30.00 an hour and worth she was worth every penny of it, and them some.
Give her a try , you won't be disappointed."

More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I volunteered as a candy striper at San Antonio hospital when I was about 14 years old. I volunteered in the labor and delivery. I loved being able to hold and feed the new born baby’s. Then when I was 16 I went to the Red Cross to become a certified baby sitter. I did this as I was attending My high school at Pomona Catholic.
I currently work part time for maxim healthcare. I am a caregiver. I work with a client that is going to college. I am a tutor and I help with guiding my client to stay organized, study for his exams. I also drive him to School.
I am certified as a Direct Support Professional which is a person who goes to a house and helps mentally and physically disabled clients live their best life in their home. I was responsible for cooking, cleaning, toileting, bathing, hygiene, dispersing medication on time. And documenting each clients progress and the activity’s we did every day. There were six clients to each home. This company I worked for is called Bright springs.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Reading, helping with spelling, coloring, puzzles, blocks, helping with brain development, speaking to them with a soft happy tone, promote positive affirmations, promote positive reinforcement. Let them feel that they matter. Promote self esteem. Follow rules. Have manners. Having a routine and structure.
The most important part about being a nanny...
Helping the parents, giving them a peace of mind knowing their child/children are safe and in good hands when they are not able to be there.
My experience with special needs children...
Autism, spinal meningitis, scoliosis, bed bound.
Trauma, ptsd, handicap, disabled.

The most important part about being a nanny...
Watching a child ride a bike for the first time. When he was on the bike he was nervous, I told him I will hold the bike until you tell me to let go.I told him I believe in you. He said “you do”? I said “of coarse I do! “ He then started to pedal and as he was pedaling I was holding on and he said “I believe in myself” and then he was off and said “let go”, I did and he was off riding his bicycle for his first time. Shortly after he turned around and came back to me. I had the biggest smile on my face and I said high five. He gave me the best high 5 and said “ can you please take my training wheels off!” It was such a. Profound moment for him and I because it took him months to get the courage to get on bicycle. I was always giving him the positive encouragement to believe in himself. He was very introverted when I had first met him. Very shy. The moment he trusted himself and started to ride his bike, it was a transformation for his ego and confidence in himself. That he can do it!
