I’ve had years of hands-on experience babysitting my younger sister, which taught me how to handle everything from diaper changes to bedtime routines with patience and care. One of my favorite things is seeing kids light up during simple moments, like painting with their hands, making up silly dances, or reading the same story for the tenth time because they love it. With my little sister, I’ve learned how much kids enjoy feeling included, so I always try to let them take the lead in play, whether we’re baking together, doing crafts, or just having fun outside. I love creating those little everyday memories that make them feel happy, safe, and understood.

To me, the most important part about being a nanny is building trust with not only the parents, but with the kids too. It’s about showing up with patience, kindness, and consistency so they know they’re safe and cared for. I think it’s really special to be someone a child can count on, whether they need help with something or just someone to laugh with. Being a nanny is being able to positively impact a child’s world.
