I volunteer at my church in the nursery and will also help watch kids from ages 0-5 while there parents are in small groups. I am also currently working at a daycare and have for a year now.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Arts and crafts, reading, swimming, dance, singing, playing pretend. I am willing to do whatever the child enjoys and even introduce new activities to them.
My experience with special needs children...
At my last 2 daycare jobs I have had the privilege of helping with special needs children. The most current I have helped with was a non-verbal autistic child who used a communication device. I learned a lot from that experience and enjoyed working with that child and parent and learned so much.
