Years ago I babysat my sisters three children for the summer and one day my niece said she was going to be sick in the car and I said I’d pull over. We stopped and she got out and came towards me. I backed away from her to give her room and she kept coming at me. We ended up her literally chasing me around the car. Finally I stopped and said her name, what are you doing? And she said my mom usually holds my hair back and I said okay and I reached out. Held her hair back and she vomited all over my shoes. We still laugh about it. I guess it’s important to know how each parent comforts and handles those things.
