A little bit about me

I am a senior solo woman with good health and an upbeat disposition. I love babies, children, dogs, cats, and horses. I am world-traveled and unencumbered, therefore available to travel if needed. My calling is to be a professional nurturer and provide tender, loving care for a family that needs a calm, competent, loving caregiver.
I have an impeccable driving record. I drive a Volvo, the safest car on the road.
I am flexible and able to learn new things, and I follow instructions without question. Parents trust me to honor directives. I am kind and compassionate. I study behavior techniques for children, and my priority is to ensure they feel safe and trust that I will give them my full attention and care. I am also studying baby care to engage and promote positive growth. I have experience working with children with ability challenges. I am undaunted by the need for hygiene care.I respect the family's privacy and discretion and because of my life experience I bring maturity.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

My home became the go to day care at Alta in the 80’s when my son was born. My nanny and I became the answer to the prayers for working parents in Little Cottonwood Canyon before there was a daycare in the canyon.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Teaching or assisting the child to experience the magic of learning new things, Communicating authentically as well as singing, dancing, reading, crafting, and walks in nature,

The most important part about being a nanny...

The relationship with the little one is the most important thing as well as building the trust of the parents knowing they can deliver the child to my care without concern or guilt. They know their baby is in loving competent care and are happy to be there. I enjoy sharing the child’s new milestones and developmental growth with the parent. Being punctual and reliable to arrive with a good attitude and willingness to show up for the family even outside of my set schedule when needed. The flexibility to travel with the family is easy for me since I am unencumbered and enjoy travel.

My experience with special needs children...

I volunteered at Wasatch Adaptive Sports based at Snowbird for 4 years. This involved outfitting and instruction for riding bikes in summer and skiing & snowboarding in the winter.

The most important part about being a nanny...

My favorite moments are one on one engagement with the baby or toddler and laughing. When they meet new milestones and we both celebrate their accomplishments makes me happy. I love sharing music and teaching them to sing, and dance. I believe getting them outdoors in nature and teaching them new things is important at all ages. I love their expressions when they first wake up and taking care of their every needs whether it be feeding, bathing, soothing or playing. When I can bring a giggle or smile to their face I feel warm inside. Communicating with a baby or child is my happy place even in the face of crying or discomfort I find reward in making everything better for them. I always put their needs above all else and I am determined they will feel safe and confident with me. “My priorities are simple they’re yours!” It’s my motto because their joy is my joy and their well being is my goal. When they light up to see me I know I am doing a good job for them and their parent.
