Hi. My name is Lori. I was an aspiring singer living in New York in my twenties where I am originally from. .Although I grew up mainly in the state of Vermont..
I went home when I began to struggle with my health. I was diagnosed with thyroid disease and was put on medication and recovered.
Then I stayed to care for my mom when she was diagnosed with cancer.
I have a lot of experience taking care of children. Beginning in the sixth grade,
I cared for children everyday after school. Starting first with a newborn, a 2 year old and a 6 year old.in the same family...
I continued babysitting throughout high school. I had quite a few other families I cared for of varying sizes.
Not to mention my two nieces I lived with every summer when I stayed with my sister.
I love reading and nature and I've found that most children love these things also.
Children need understanding and empathy as much as they need clear boundaries so they can feel safe and
cared for.
