More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
My relevant experience includes working as an NICU Clinical Coordinator, raising four of my own children, one with developmental delays, working as a professional nanny for other families, working in a nursery for a hybrid school as a childcare assistant. In these roles I performed many different and varying duties. My passion for newborns through school age children has given me an opportunity to give assistance wherever I am requested.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
The first priority as a professional nanny is the safety of the children. Therefore, activities must always keep that in mind and focus on age appropriate levels. My goals are to assist parents in the development of their children from infancy to school age. This can be accomplished in many ways...through reading, interactive developmental play using fine motor skills, gross motor skills, oral skills, etc. I really enjoy helping infants learn to roll over, sit up, crawl, use baby sign language, grasp for objects. and the like. As they grow I enjoy including them in small tasks, helping prepare foods, playing outside, going on outings, developing language skills through mimicking sounds, learning music scales, and singing. Dancing is always a fun exercise. It is my belief that observing a child will help in determining the activities they enjoy and flourish in learning. Keeping it fun encourages learning, and growth. I, personally, do not incorporate much screen time in the day.
The most important part about being a nanny...
THE most important part of being a nanny is always ensuring the safety and well being of the newborn, infant or child. It helps to be adaptable, flexible, and very loving. Reinforcing parental desires as for structure and rules is another important part of being a nanny. Consistency is important which should be carried out by the nanny based on the parent's desires. Being passionate about children, in all stages, is an important part of being a successful professional nanny.
My experience with special needs children...
Professionally as a Neonatal Coordinator in a hospital setting. My first job as a nanny was for a child with a rare condition that needed tube feedings, injections, glucose monitoring, reinforcement of speech, PT, OT, and I provided innovative ways to assist in her therapies. Another child for which I nannied needed special help meeting developmental milestones including reinforcing goals with physical therapy processes at home. I have a daughter adopted from an orphanage with developmental delays, and she has been in our family for 25 years. I have learned SO much over the years of how to best serve her needs including meeting regularly with a Dr. of Neuropsychology who has taught me so much about the brain and what you will see in a child who is neurotypical or neurodivergent.
The most important part about being a nanny...
I cannot choose just a single favorite nanny moment. There are many for me. A newborns first smiles and coos are some of my favorite nanny moments. An infant's and child's giggles are so entertaining and brings much delightment to my heart. Other favorite nanny moments are watching newborns, toddlers and children meet developmental milestones, along with growing and maturing in many different areas. I love watching their eyes as they become excited with accomplishing a new skill, or even when attempting one...that determination to succeed is priceless. Their free cuddles and hugs show they have a sense of trust in a caregiver. Their inquisitive questions at every turn shows a strong desire to learn and interest in the world. I am not just a caregiver, I have a true passion for assisting parents, with their direction, to encourage their children in learning, growth, and success. My favorite moments are a gift and result of you trusting me with YOUR most precious gifts.

Live-In Full-Time Child Care Provider Available in Canton, GA: Alexis S.
As the oldest of four siblings, including two younger brothers who have autism, I've spent much of my life caring for children and supporting their unique needs. Growing up with my brothers taught me that every child experiences the world differently and deserves patience, respect, and understanding.
I'm currently pursuing a degree in Special Education and have worked as an RBT for the past year. While that experience gave me valuable skills, I believe a child's comfort, autonomy, and well-being should always come first. I encourage children to express their wants, needs, and boundaries and strive to create an environment where they feel safe and heard.
I enjoy bringing crafts, games, and activities tailored to each child's interests. Whether we're building forts, playing pretend, spending time outdoors, or winding down with animal documentaries or a favorite movie, my goal is to provide dependable, compassionate care while making sure children feel comfortable being themselves.

Part-Time Child Care Provider Available in Canton, GA: Mykarah L.
Hi my name is Mykarah Lowe and I am a responsible and caring nanny. I am CPR and First Aid certified, and I was raised around healthcare workers, which has given me a strong understanding of safety, responsibility, and staying calm in any situation. I have my own car and a valid driver’s license I’m able to provide reliable transportation when needed. I have two younger sisters, ages 8 and 10, so I’m very comfortable around children and naturally enjoy spending time with them. Being around them has helped me develop patience, creativity, and the ability to connect with kids of different ages. I also love activities that keep children engaged, whether that’s playing games, helping with schoolwork, or doing fun creative projects. In addition to childcare, I’m also able to help with cooking and light cleaning as needed to support the household. My rates are open for negotiation. I would love the opportunity to provide a safe, fun, and supportive environment for your children.
