Worked as a nurse for 38 yrs and did work in the community with medically fragile technology dependant children. Had 3 of.my own. Have done occasional part time care through the yrs.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Crafts, reading books, playing simple games that are age appropriate for the child.

The most important part about being a nanny...

You get to help shape a little human and impact their life as you teach them. It's hard for parents today to find good care from people they can trust. I know this because I was once there too. Supporting newer parents makes their jobs a little easier/less stressful.

My experience with special needs children...

Have worked a bit with children who had autism. Also worked with children who had CP, epilepsy, feeding tubes, TPN, cancer, near drowning victims, global mental delay , severe vaccine injury etc.

The most important part about being a nanny...

When a child guessed my age to be 96 and her younger sibling guessed my age at 21. Neither one of them was close and we all had a good laugh. When looking after infants I love rocking them to sleep.
