A little bit about me

I'm Lun Nuam, an experienced nanny with a passion for childcare and nurturing young minds. Over 4-5 years, I've worked as a Sunday school teacher, cared for my young cousins, and volunteered as a chaperone at Saint Agnes Hospital. Currently pursuing a Psychology degree at UMBC, I blend hands-on experience with academic knowledge to create a safe, stimulating environment for children.

I believe in fostering creativity, curiosity, and kindness while tailoring my approach to meet each child's unique needs. I'm excited about the opportunity to bring my skills, enthusiasm, and positive energy to your family.

Best regards,
Lun Nuam

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love taking kids on nature walks, exploring parks, and organizing scavenger hunts to encourage curiosity and appreciation for the outdoors. Activities like gardening, bird watching, or picnics can also be enjoyable and educational.Engaging in arts and crafts activities like drawing, painting, crafting, and DIY projects allows children to express their creativity and develop fine motor skills. I enjoy coming up with new craft ideas and themes based on their interests.Incorporating music, singing, dancing, and playing musical instruments into our routine not only promotes physical activity but also boosts mood and creativity. I enjoy creating simple songs and dances with kids.Involving children in cooking and baking activities not only teaches them valuable life skills but also encourages healthy eating habits and boosts confidence. I enjoy making simple and fun recipes with kids, allowing them to be hands-on in the kitchen.

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important part of being a nanny is creating a safe and nurturing environment where children can thrive emotionally, socially, and intellectually. Building strong relationships with both children and parents through effective communication and collaboration is crucial. Tailoring my approach to each child's unique needs, fostering curiosity and independence, and maintaining open communication with parents are key aspects that I prioritize. Ultimately, I take great pride in making a positive impact on children's lives and providing them with the care, support, and guidance they need to grow and flourish.

The most important part about being a nanny...

One of my favorite moments as a caregiver is dancing with my little cousins. Watching their faces light up with joy and laughter as we move to music together creates priceless memories filled with happiness and connection.

Another cherished experience is taking the Sunday school kids out on a picnic. Seeing them explore nature, enjoy delicious treats, and bond with each other in an outdoor setting is incredibly rewarding. One particular picnic stands out when we gathered in a circle, sang songs together, and shared stories. The sense of camaraderie and togetherness during those moments was truly heartwarming.

These experiences remind me of the magic of childhood and the importance of creating meaningful connections through simple yet joyful activities. It's moments like these that inspire me to continue providing nurturing care and memorable experiences for children.
