As a nanny, I love planning fun, balanced days that keep kids excited and engaged. We’ll do creative stuff like painting, making slime, building blanket forts, or decorating cupcakes, then go outside to play tag, draw with sidewalk chalk, blow bubbles, or do a little nature scavenger hunt. I always try to mix in learning without making it feel boring, like reading together, doing simple science experiments, practicing letters or numbers through games, or baking and letting them help measure. I’m big on imagination too, so we might do dress-up, have a tea party, put on a puppet show, or play pretend store or restaurant. And when it’s time to wind down, I’ll set up something calm like puzzles, coloring, kids yoga, or a cozy story before bed. I just love creating days that are fun, active, creative, and still structured in a way parents feel good about.
