My experience with special needs children...
For a number of years I have worked with some of the best, brightest and happiest children with special needs. I have enjoyed summers working at Sunshine Camp at Camp Haccamo, Encompass Summer School Program with RCSD students.
Also, as a Private Duty Nurse I have worked with families with kids having a one or many physical, medical and intellectual disabilities with one or both academic and/or emotional needs. I have experience with children having tracheostomies along with being 'vented' (ventilator dependent) for oxygen/breathing. Feeding tubes administrating liquid nutrition and medications via bolus or Kangaroo pumps for Gastric/tummy), wheelchair bound, assisting with daily tasks as needed. I have experience with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy,
Spina Bifida,
TBI (Traumatic Brain Injury)
Prader Willi Syndrome.
