A little bit about me

Hello! My name is Matilda but I just go by M, I started my career teaching mountain biking classes and camps to children ages 5-14 year olds. These were 2 to 7 hour programs that trained me to handle high intensity situations and acutely assess safety precautions and risks. In college I became a certified daycare worker, assisting in classrooms for children aged 3 months to 6 years. While my daycare certifications have lapsed I am still actively informed of safe sleep practices, and my first aid and CPR certifications are current. In my current position I work as an educator, teaching workshops for field trips, after school programs, assisting in an onsite daycare and most recently assisting in summer camps with children aged 4 to 10 years old. I am passionate about education, specifically developing a child’s passion for reading and engaging in their natural curiosity.
