More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
Growing up I lived right next door to a home daycare where I spent nearly every summer helping my neighbor care for the children. It was there that I learned the foundations of caregiving, from diaper changes, playtime, routines and to understanding the patience and attentiveness it takes to truly connect with kids. That early experience sparked a lifelong passion for working with children!
Over the past five years, I’ve continued to build on that foundation by babysitting and nannying for families in my community. I’ve helped raise my four nieces and have cared for children ranging in age from newborns to 13 years old. Whether it’s bottle-feeding an infant, organizing creative play activities, or helping with homework after school, I’m confident and comfortable providing age-appropriate care for every stage of childhood!

Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love keeping them active, engaged, and learning in fun age-appropriate ways. I enjoy taking the kids on walks/park. For younger children I love incorporating play-based learning through storytime, sensory activities, and music. With older kids, I enjoy helping with homework, working through educational workbooks, or coming up with fun crafts. Whether it’s building with blocks, doing arts and crafts, or having a dance party in the living room, I always aim to make our time together both fun and meaningful!
The most important part about being a nanny...
is building real and meaningful connections with the children I care for. I love watching their personalities grow, seeing them hit milestones, and being someone they can trust and feel safe with. Whether it’s helping them learn something new, cheering them up on a tough day, or simply sharing laughs during playtime all of those little moments mean everything to me. Knowing I can make a positive impact in a child’s day and help out the parents that is what makes this job so special and rewarding!
My experience with special needs children...
is limited I have had the opportunity to care for a non-verbal autistic child who was a family friend. His mother needed some extra help with day-to-day care and I was grateful to step in and support them. During that time I learned how to communicate effectively with a non-verbal child and how important it is to adapt caregiving approaches to meet each child’s unique needs. That experience opened my eyes to the importance of patience, consistency, and understanding in special needs care, and I’m open and eager to continue learning more in this area!
The most important part about being a nanny...
it has to be hearing all the wild, funny, and unexpected things they say! Kids have such unique ways of thinking and expressing themselves and it’s always entertaining and often surprisingly insightful. Whether it’s a totally made-up story, an honest (and hilarious) comment, or a creative explanation for how the world works, I genuinely love listening to how their minds work. Every day with kids brings something new to laugh about, and those little moments always remind me why I love what I do.
