The most important part of being a nanny is building a trusting and caring relationship with the kids. It’s not just about watching them but being someone they feel safe with, can have fun with, and know they can rely on. Making sure they feel heard, supported, and loved is what truly matters to me.

My experience with special needs children...

I’ve had the opportunity to learn a lot about caring for children with special needs through my mom, who works with them. Watching her and helping out has taught me patience, understanding, and how to adapt to different needs. Not too long ago, I started getting more hands-on experience, and I’ve really enjoyed building connections and learning how to support each child in a way that works best for them.

One of my favorite moments babysitting was when a child opened up to me about her day, sharing her thoughts and feelings. It meant so much to know that she felt comfortable coming to me for support and friendship. Seeing her feel heard, valued, and loved made me so happy, and it reminded me why I love working with kids—building those special connections and being someone they can count on.
