During my high school experience I was of the age requirements and had just passed the paraprofessional certification test and was blessed with a part-time job towards the end of my senior year working with k-5th grade. My job was to assist extra help with a student, attend recess duties, as well as providing a cleanliness environment. I have volunteered to babysit for many families within my community since the age of twelve.

When it comes to keeping children entertained within 4 walls I really like to encourage a child’s creativity, may that be within arts and crafts or reading books to entertain imagination. If the child is attending school I am fairly familiar with educating young children. For outside activities I like to do my best to educate children with the world surrounding them. With walks, parks, and even time-to-time, community activities.

My experience with special needs children...
With my experience as a paraprofessional I had worked individually with a young girl in a wheelchair. Wasn’t her main caretaker but she opened up to me most compared to the rest of the staff so I spent quite a lot of one-on-one time with her.
