Hello everyone! My name is Madeleine and I'm a rising Senior at the University of Iowa looking to find a part-time nannying job for Summer 2021/going into the Fall semester. I'm incredibly passionate about working with children and adapting to their needs in order to keep them happy, engaged, and emotionally/intellectually supported.
My work experience includes:

2. Summer 2019: Nanny for eight year old girl and twelve year old boy.
3. Summer 2020: Nanny for two year old boy, six year old girl, and eight year old girl. Helped tutor eight year old with math and writing and kept children engaged with fun outdoor activities during the pandemic.
4. Summer 2020: Creative Writing tutor for seven third graders.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

Worked as a volunteer for the Iowa Youth Writing project during the Fall of 2018, where I engaged with children to promote emotional/intellectual growth through creative writing and other learning exercises.
I also have had experience working with children alongside my mother, who is a 1st grade teacher at Meramec Elementary School in St. Louis, Missouri.

My experience with special needs children...

While working as a Summer Camp Counselor during Summer [phone number hidden] I had the opportunity to work with several neurodivergent children who required adapted learning/play activities for mental and emotional stimulation. As someone who grew up with a younger brother on the Autism spectrum with severe ADHD/Dyslexia, I try my best to adapt to the needs of children who may require different approaches to learning, play, and attention.
