A little bit about me

Hi there! My name is Maddie Ehat. I'm a 21 year old nanny who loves taking care of kiddos and housekeeping. I'm the second oldest of 7 siblings, so I've had a whole life's experience working with children of all ages. I took several childcare classes in high school and have been working on getting my CDA. I am CPR and first aid certified. I just got home (February 2025) from serving as a full-time missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in California. I'm very happy and very bubbly, and I love to sing and dance. I did theater all through high school, and love all things music related! I am planning to attend UVU in the winter to major in Family Science to someday have a career as a marriage and family psychologist. I will still be able to work in the winter, but my availability may change. I'm so excited to get started and help love & care for your sweet kids!

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I was hired as a dance teacher for children with special needs through a program called HIVEs Just For Kids. I've been a hired live-out nanny 5 times and have babysat since about the age of 12.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Coloring, reading, puzzles, toys, dress up, basically anything that involves fun and laughter :)

The most important part about being a nanny...

Of course, it's a nanny's job to make sure the children are being properly taken care of physically, but I think their emotional well being is just as important. The most important part about being a nanny is making sure the child feels loved, happy, and safe in your care.

My experience with special needs children...

Very comfortable and experienced with caring for special needs children. I've been caring for my cousin with special needs weekly for several years and I've learned how to adapt to their needs.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Before my mission, I nannied for the SWEETEST 7 month old baby boy. It was an honor to care for him during the day while his parents were at work for about 8 months. Right before I left on my mission, he started walking! His mom suspected that his first steps might happen while I was there, so she asked if I'd record if he ever got close. That ended up being the case, so I was lucky enough to witness his first steps (He took 5!!) I may or may not have cried 😜
