Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

Over the past 4+ years, I've worked with three families in New Jersey caring for children from a 5-month-old infant up to age 9. My current role is with a family in Summit where I look after their 5-month-old baby alongside two school-age children, helping with bottle feedings, naps, school pickups, meals, and daily routines. Before that, I cared for two children ages 7 and 9 in Watchung, and prior to that, two siblings ages 6 and 8 in Plainfield. I've also helped with light housekeeping, child laundry, grocery shopping, homework support, and keeping the home running smoothly.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love reading books together, doing arts and crafts, baking simple snacks, and playing imaginative games like dress-up or building forts. With younger kids, I enjoy singing songs, tummy time, and exploring new textures and toys. With older kids, I love trips to the park and library, board and card games, walks around the neighborhood, and helping them with creative projects. Since I'm fluent in Spanish, I also love sneaking in some bilingual fun through songs, books, and games.

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important part of being a nanny is being a safe, consistent, and loving presence in a child's daily life. Kids thrive when they feel secure and understood, so I focus on building trust, keeping their routines steady, and showing up patient and engaged every day. Being a true partner to the parents is just as important, communicating openly, respecting their values, and helping the household feel calm and well taken care of.

My experience with special needs children...

I don't have formal experience caring for children with special needs, but I'm a patient, attentive, and adaptable caregiver. I'm always open to learning about a child's specific needs and following the guidance of parents and specialists to give every child the consistent and loving care they deserve.

The most important part about being a nanny...

One of my favorite moments has been watching the 5-month-old I currently care for grow and change month by month. I started caring for her when she was just 4 months old, and getting to be part of those small daily milestones, like her first giggles, learning to grab her toys, and recognizing my voice, has been so special. It's a reminder of why I love this work and how meaningful it is to be a steady, loving presence in a child's earliest days.
