A little bit about me

Hi! My name is Madison, I’m currently a senior studying nursing. I am a proud alumnae of the Delta Gamma Zeta Eta chapter at Texas State! My love for kids is one thing I will always have, I worked as a cheer and gymnastics coach with young children for a year. I absolutely loved getting to create a relationship with the kids and their families. Watching them grow in and out of the gym was something I’ll always hold close to my heart. I also was a volunteer as a tutor for kids online through zoom during Covid! I am very empathetic and care for every kid. Making them feel special in every way is very important to me. I have a lot of volunteer experience with young children as well. People would describe me as a fun, loving, and caring person. I have cheered competitively for 6 years and also was on the Varsity Cheerleading Team and came out with multiple awards, some nationally as well! More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I was a leader for a junior high cheer camp, an online tutor for kids, and a cheer coach for young children in Highschool. That was were I knew I wanted to care for children, which lead to me wanting to do pediatric nursing which is what I’m currently studying! I feel as if learning and being able to understand children is a gift! Kids feel the energy and will respond based off of how you interact with them, they are much smarter than we think!

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love having a plan and schedule with the kids that way it gives us something to look forward to every so hour! Some activities I’ve done with my kids is crafts at home, taking them to the park, and my favorite thing to do is bake with the kids! I also believe it’s important to make sure I am involved in the things they like as well, so making sure we set time aside for their favorite things is also important!

The most important part about being a nanny...

I love creating a fun and safe environment for my kids. I will say this time and time again, they feel the energy you give off and that’s how they will behave based off of the first interaction. It’s a gift to be able to work with kids and really understand them as well get on their level but at the same time enforce certain rules. My love for kids goes as for as being a nanny, which is why I’m working toward being a pediatric nurse. I love being able to impact their lives from simple things and being apart of their childhood!

The most important part about being a nanny...

I don’t have just one favorite nanny moment, I think just hearing the imagination these kids have make my day. I hear the funniest things from my previous kids and it reminds me why I love working with kids so much!
