Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love keeping children engaged through fun, creative, and age-appropriate activities. Some of my favorite things to do include arts and crafts, reading books, playing outside, going on walks or to the playground, baking, building with LEGOs or blocks, doing simple science experiments, and playing games. I also enjoy helping with homework, encouraging imaginative play, and finding activities that match each child's interests and personality. My goal is to create a safe, positive environment where children can have fun and learn new things.
The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part of being a nanny is creating a safe, loving, and supportive environment where children feel comfortable being themselves. I want every child to know they are valued, encouraged, and cared for. I believe being a nanny is about so much more than just "watching them". It's about building trust, making meaningful connections, helping children grow, and being a positive, consistent presence in their lives. Knowing I can make a child feel safe, loved, and excited to learn and explore is the most rewarding part of what I do.
My experience with special needs children...
Working with children with special needs is something I'm truly passionate about. As a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), I've had the opportunity to work one-on-one with children with autism and other developmental disabilities, helping them build communication, social, and everyday life skills. I've also worked with children with a variety of physical and cognitive disabilities through community events and other childcare settings. Every child is different, and I love getting to know what helps each child feel comfortable, confident, and successful.
The most important part about being a nanny...
My favorite part of being a nanny has always been the relationships I build with the children. I love being with a family long enough to watch the kids grow, reach new milestones, and become more confident over time. There is nothing more rewarding than seeing them light up when I walk through the door, run over to hug me, or get excited to tell me about their day. Knowing that I've become someone they feel safe with and genuinely enjoy spending time with is what makes this work so meaningful to me. Those connections are the reason I love caring for children.
