I have experience at an in-home daycare, and I have experience babysitting children. Currently I am working at a daycare center, and I am partaking in a part time nanny position as well. I have worked with children over the past 3 year, and I really enjoy working with them and also helping out the parents!
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I enjoy outdoor and indoor activities, depending on the weather. I like to spend majority of my time outdoors if the weather allows, if indoor I try to avoid screen time altogether. I like to do crafts, read books, and general free play with the kids. If we were outdoors, I enjoy going on walks, playing outside whether it's a sport or just playing at a playground.
The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part about being a nanny is keeping the children safe. I also think that it's important to maintain and healthy relationship with the kids and serve as a mentor to them. As well as making sure they are engaged in activities that you do with them.
My experience with special needs children...
Minimal, I don't have that much experience with special needs children but I willing to learn more and expand my knowledge.
The most important part about being a nanny...
My favorite nanny moment was kind of bittersweet, it was when I was leaving for college and all of the kids I was watching came up and gave me a big hug and gave me a homemade card, it really made me realize the impact I had on them.
