A little bit about me

Hi, my name is Madison. I’m 22 years old with no kids of my own—unless you count my fur babies, who I absolutely treat like my children. I’ve worked in home health care for most of my life, which has helped shape my caring and responsible nature. Family means everything to me, and I’m lucky to have two very sweet nephews that I help watch, along with my friends’ kids. I love being someone people can rely on, especially when it comes to caring for others.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

My personal experience with children includes working at a daycare, where I cared for multiple children at once and learned the importance of patience, structure, and consistency. I helped with daily routines such as meals, nap time, playtime, and learning activities, while always making sure each child felt safe and supported. Working in a daycare taught me how to manage different personalities, handle challenging moments calmly, and create a positive environment where children could grow, learn, and feel comfortable. That experience strengthened my passion for working with kids and helped shape the caregiver I am today.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Planning fun, age-appropriate activities like arts and crafts, coloring, painting, and simple DIY projects
Reading books together and encouraging a love for stories and learning
Playing games—both indoor and outdoor—to keep kids active and engaged
Helping with homework, practicing letters, numbers, or basic learning skills
Creating a calm and safe routine that helps kids feel comfortable and secure
Preparing simple meals and snacks and making sure kids eat well and stay hydrated
Taking walks, playing outside, or going to the park (with parent approval)
Encouraging good manners, sharing, and positive behavior through gentle guidance
Being a supportive listener and offering comfort when kids feel upset or overwhelmed
Helping with nap time and bedtime routines, including baths, pajamas, and bedtime stories. Keeping things tidy by cleaning up toys and teaching kids to help with small clean-ups

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important part about being a nanny is creating a safe and loving environment where children feel comfortable being themselves. Knowing they trust me and feel secure in my care means more than anything.

My experience with special needs children...

I haven’t worked with many special needs children yet, but I am very willing to learn and give my best in every part of the learning experience. I understand that they may face different challenges in life, but I do not see them as any different from other children. Every child deserves patience, understanding, and to feel included and valued. We all go through challenges in our own ways, and my goal is to make every child feel accepted, supported, and no different from their peers who do not have special needs.

The most important part about being a nanny...

One of my best memories as a nanny is realizing how much the kids trusted me. There was a moment when one of the children I watched had a rough day and chose to come to me for comfort instead of anyone else. We sat together, talked it through, and by the end they were smiling again. That moment reminded me that being a nanny isn’t just about watching kids—it’s about being someone they feel safe with. Knowing I could be that person for them meant everything to me and made all the long days completely worth it.
