The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part about being a nanny is recognizing the extremely special and important job that a child's parent has entrusted you with and in that, understanding not only the physical responsibility, but the emotional responsibility that you have to that child(ren)
My experience with special needs children...
My experience with special needs children is limited, I have some experience with FAS and children on the autism spectrum. I am studying psychology/child psych and human development and have gained a ton of knowledge on the autism spectrum, as it is actually a deep career interest of mine. I have very little experience with children w/ physical disabilities.
The most important part about being a nanny...
My favorite nanny moments have been whenever I receive positive feedback from parents whether that be that the child is asking when I'm coming back next, misses me, expresses how much fun they had, etc. Its so fulfilling to know that the emotional investment you put into a child is translating!
